A desert site in Baja California Sur is home to the Cabo Sports Complex, the new venue for the Mexican Tennis Open. Designed by Mexico City-based studio Taller Hector Barroso, the project seamlessly integrates sustainable architecture, featuring earth construction, timber, raw surfaces, and a modernist aesthetic—perfectly complementing the region’s striking arid landscape.

The Cabo Sports Complex is separated from the beach by the Cabo San Lucas–San José del Cabo highway. In response, the architects designed the complex with elegant, elongated, compacted earth walls that encircle the site, shielding it from the sun and noise.

"Understanding the essence of the landscape was essential for this project. It revealed a world where architecture could exist not to impose itself, but to remain quietly in harmony with its surroundings, blending into the extraordinary natural spectacle that nature offers us," the architectural team explains.

One of the most beautiful tennis court we ever saw !

Have a look.
